Obituary
MADISON - Teresa Lynn “Terri” Hemstead, age 68, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27,
2023. She was born on Feb. 3, 1955, in Reedsburg, the daughter of Harlan and Audrey (Conklin)
Von Behren.
Teresa graduated from Reedsburg High School in 1973. She then attended The McConnell Airline School in Minnesota, graduating in 1974. Soon after became a Travel Agent which allowed her to travel all over the U.S. and a few other countries.
Teresa loved watching all Wisconsin sports, but her favorite athlete to watch was her granddaughter. Their bond was one of a kind. She also loved taking care of her flowers and always kept a beautiful landscape.
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Patrick Holloway) Hemstead; granddaughter,
Kelsey Hemstead; sisters, Cynthia (David) Dietz and Connie (John) Troutman; brothers, Harley
Von Behren and Danny (Joni) Von Behren; and she had many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlan and Audrey; and brother, Thomas Von Behren.
A celebration of life will be held at VFW POST 7591, 301 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, from 12 noon until 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023.
Family would like to thank Dr. Gregory Hartig, Dr. Patrick Pfau as well as all UW staff who helped with Teresa's care for many years.
Don't cry over the past, it's gone,
Don't stress over the future, it hasn't arrived,
Live in the present and make it beautiful!
