Obituary

SUN PRAIRIE - Cheryl A. Dallmann, age 71, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on July 13, 1952, in Mauston, the daughter of Eugene and Dorothy (Saaf) Dallmann.


Cheryl graduated from Stoughton High School in 1970. She worked at Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation while putting herself through nursing school. Later she worked as a Registered Nurse for Mendota Mental Health, retiring after 30 years of service.


Cheryl loved horses and always had Trakehner horses in her life. She also added German Shepherds and many feline friends to complete her beloved farm home. Cheryl was an artist with mediums in crocheting, hardanger embroidery and was able to draw from memory or copy designs.  She was detail oriented and had a vivid memory in recalling special details. She loved traveling to Scotland and those trips were very special to her.


Cheryl is survived by her three sisters, Lori Dallmann, Michelle Gehrke and Mari Beth Lawrence; brother, John Dallmann and four nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Dorothy; and sister, Carol Sorenson.


A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the AMERICAN LEGION POST No. 59, 803 North Page Street, Stoughton.


Memorials may be gifted in Cheryl’s name to the Dane County Humane Society.
