Obituary
MOUNT HOREB - Rita Marie Meyer, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, with her family by her side at home. She was born Oct. 16, 1942, to John and Josephine (Kelliher) Trainor. She was the 11th of 13 children and the 11th to pass.
She married William “Blackie” Meyer on Sept. 22, 1959, and recently celebrated 64 years together. They raised three children that she was so proud of.
She was a lady of passion and grace, open arms for many hugs, listened with understanding, helped those in need and trusted in her faith. Her family meant everything to her!!!
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill; daughters, Brenda (Terry) Meyer and Becky (Perry) Halverson; son, Bill (Carrie) Meyer; her beautiful grandchildren, Brandon (Morgan) Halverson, Brienna (Lukas) Sailing, Will (Julie), Joe, Hailey and Ellinor Meyer; and her precious great-grandchildren, Brooks, Braelynn and Blayke Halverson.
We would like to Thank our Dad for his endless love and tender care for our Mom, hospice and her nurses, DeAnne and Jessica, who helped us take care of her with love and compassion.
There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts!!!!
A Celebration of Life will be held at BARNEVELD LEGION HALL, 102 Wood St., Barneveld, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.
