Obituary

MADISON, Wis. / CARY, Ill. / MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Alison J. Bozile, born May 24, 1958, in Montreal, Canada, passed away peacefully on Oct. 27, 2023, at UnityPoint Health - Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wis.

Alison was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, daughter and friend. She spent much of life devoted to taking care of others and had a track record of being very thoughtful, reliable, detail oriented and caring. Alison was also fun, loved to play music and dance, regularly entertained, cooked delicious meals and knew how to host the best pool parties. Many of her friends and family knew her as a gracious host, who would gladly tour them around downtown Chicago, introduce them to new games and keep them fed, entertained and smiling.

While she will be dearly missed, we are glad she is at peace and will have the chance to reunite with her late husband, Brent Bozile.

Alison is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Matt Bozile and Jackie Bozile; her two grandchildren, Raemee and Griffin; her mother, Janet Fear; her brother, Paul Fear; and her sisters-in-law who she remained very close with after Brent’s passing, Beverly Tipler and Barb Bozile.

A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Dear Matthew, I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. She certainly had all the qualities you listed. I will miss her and all the darling pics and videos she texted me of your children. When my grandson was born on your Dad's birthday this year, she texted me" Great day to be born, made my day!!! Yes. Today is Brent's bday...what the grandkids sent...sweetest thing ever 3 heart emojis." She sent precious videos of your children singing happy birthday to your Dad. From the day I first met your Mom, she made me laugh! So many memories over the years....singing, dancing, book club, bunko, parties... When you were in 5th grade, your Mom and I were room mother's. We laughed so hard getting the Rudolph's ready (painting light bulbs brown) for the Christmas party, so that you kids could assemble the ornament's at school. I will miss our many lunches at D & J Bistro always ordering the same food and wine...and the laughter!!! I'm blessed to have known your Mom. May she rest in peace with your beloved Dad. Love to you and your family from The Konopasek family.

We are neighbors of Allison from Nolen Shore. We are so sad to hear about Allison's passing and very sorry we didn't hear sooner or we would have attended the funeral. We have a number of good memories of Allison - the time she left us a prosciutto sandwich from Alimentari sandwich shop because we had seen her in the garage and told her we were having a bad day. The time after her husband died, we would stand in the garage and talk for a long time about how she was feeling. And one time, after she was up here for a visit, she saw all the hearts we have pinned on the bedroom wall so she gave us one from Sweden. Very sad. Although we didn't see her all that often, she will be missed. As we approach Thanksgiving, we are thankful we got to know her, even just a little. Arlene and Sue, Nolen Shore
