SUN PRAIRIE - Donald Clark Coughlan, age 79, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, at William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. He was born on May 18, 1944, in Highland Park, Mich., the son of Standly and Kathryn Edwina Coughlan.
Don served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. Don was very mechanically inclined and talented with repairing and maintaining CAT scan machines when he worked for Delta Medical. He also was skilled in rebuilding computers.
Don enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He loved his dogs, Winter, Hunter and Willow, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He also greatly enjoyed listening to audiobooks.
Don is survived by his son, Josh (Carrie) Coughlan; daughter, Kimberly Coughlan; and daughter-in-kind, Sara Wilken; five grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Nancy) Coughlan; sister, Kathleen Medd; sister-in-law, Susan Coughlan; and former wife, Mary Coughlan. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom Coughlan; and former partner, Lisa.
