Beaver Dam - Donna L. Schmitt, age 67, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on April 6, 1956, in Abilene, Texas, the daughter of Eugene Goode and Jerry (Marsh) Walker.
Donna graduated from Abilene High School. Prior to retirement she worked as a cook. She was a great cook, and also enjoyed cooking for her family. In her younger years she owned a motorcycle and loved going for rides. Over the years she developed a love for reading books, coloring, working on crafts and crocheting, and listening to music. She also enjoyed spending time with family.
Donna is survived by her son, Paul (Priscilla) Romero III; daughters, Maria (Jerry) Solis, Christina (Augustine) Gonzales and Cathy (Lucas) Castillo; brothers, Mark (Tracy) Goode and Michael Goode; sisters, Brandi (Angel) Dominguez and Stephonie Carmichael; as well as 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Daniel Jackson.
