Charlene and Mike Dolfen Grief is such a complex part of life, and everything you’re feeling right now is normal, even though it seems strange and is so difficult to navigate. You are in our thoughts and prayers. RIP Al, we will see you again ❤️

So sorry to read about Al passing away. He used to drive truck for my father, John, at Skelton Furniture back around 1962/63. I was just a kid and used to help deliver furniture. I think Al was going to school at the time. He was a real great guy and was always very nice to me. I was probably 15/16 at the time. I would see him throughout the years and most recently at Gus’s Diner in Sun Prairie. I’m so sorry for your loss

Bud - Thanks for so many good memories. More importantly thanks for teaching me, and for being the master of humility. We walked into the Avenue Bar for lunch on a weekday a long long time ago. It’s one of many fond memories for me and probably the moment when I “Got it”. When I got who you were. Why? Let me quote from many upon entry: “Bud! Hi Bud! Al! How’s it going! Hi Five. Bud! Al! Hey Al” ….and it went on and on and on. If Norm had been there he would have looked at Cliff and said “Who is this guy?” The answer to that would have been that this was “The guy”. See you soon.
