Margaret J Clark

MADISON - Margaret June (Conner) Clark, passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at the age of 93. She was born in Middleton on October 9, 1929, the eighth child of Charles and Ethel (Thurber) Conner.

Marge graduated Salutatorian from Lodi High School in 1947. She worked for Rayovac for 39 years and for The HOPE of Wisconsin for 15 years, retiring at the age of 88. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 501 for over 20 years.

Marge is survived by her daughter, Betty (Jeff) Clark; sons, Michael (Renae) Clark and Steven Clark; daughter-in-law, Mariann Clark; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Clark and Dennie Clark; and eight siblings and their spouses, Thelma (Emanuel Bender, Myrtle (Kenneth) Mitchell, Ruth (Merle) Kuehn, Jack (Shirley) Conner, Betty (Floyd) Sharp, Kenneth Conner, Robert Conner, and Dorothy (Martin) Mathison.

Marge actively gave her time volunteering for many years. She will always be remembered for her generous smile. She enjoyed many trips with her sister Betty and enjoyed crocheting and knitting, reading, puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Memorial Service will be held at TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 1123 Vilas Ave., Madison, at 11 AM on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, with Pastor Kate Kvidera presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 am until the time of the service. A lunch will immediately follow the funeral service.  All are welcome.  A private burial will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Sauk St., Lodi.
