Obituary
VERONA, Wis. - Dianne Marsh, 62, of Verona, Wis., passed away after a private battle with cancer. Dianne was born on Feb. 20, 1961, in Freeport, Ill. She moved around as a young adult but ultimately settled in Freeport and married the love of her life, Larry Marsh, in 1987. The two were together for over 40 years, recently celebrating 36 years of marriage. When she married Larry, she gained a stepson, Mark, and a little over a year later, they welcomed their daughter, Grace, in 1988.
Dianne was incredibly devoted to her family and found no greater joy in life than caring for them. The only thing Dianne loved more than being a mother, was being a grandmother-or Yaya, as she preferred to be called. Dianne and her sister, Val, had a bond that was truly remarkable. In addition to the human loves of Dianne’s life, she was also a proud pet mother to many dogs and cats throughout her years. Dianne was incredibly selfless, generous, and kind. She had an infectious laugh, the most beautiful smile, and went out of her way to make everyone around her feel loved.
Dianne was predeceased by her parents, Joan and George Deininger. She leaves behind her husband, Larry Marsh; her children, Mark Marsh and Grace (Marcus) Maier; sister, Val Leitzen; brother, Doug (Peggy) Leitzen; grandchildren, Elodie, Alden and Esme Maier; step-brothers, Paul Deininger, Kirk (Lois) Deininger and Craig (Justine) Deininger; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dogs, Weezy, Maggie and Bonnie.
A celebration of life will be held at GENERATIONS BREWING COMPANY, 1400 S. Adams Ave., Freeport, Ill., at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023.
