I was a classmate of Jeanne at Edgewood from KG-HS. I so fondly remember Jeanne as always kind, welcoming, so smart(!), and laudably unassuming. She was a very important school friend to me during those years. She never hesitated to help me, and I think helped carry me through many advanced classes where she always excelled and I often had struggles. I was happy to learn about Jeanne's life and family. All who knew and loved her will be in my prayers as you mourn her loss and celebrate her life. Tony Richtsmeier Grand Rapids, MI

I remember Jeanne from an outing she organized, along with her good friend, Kris Heilman, for Michele and me at the start of our freshman year at Edgewood H.S. After a big football game Jeanne and Kris took us to a SIT-DOWN restaurant for ICE CREAM. Up to that point the fanciest place I ever went to was the A&W on Monona Drive! So this was a real treat, not least of which was getting to spend time with two “big girls,” who seemed to find us interesting—or at least amusing. They respected the young women we were becoming. That was an act of kindness on Jeanne’s part which still touches my heart. My deepest sympathies, Michele!

I worked with Jeanne. She was a great mentor. But I, also, got to see her passion for the arts and through her I saw several musicals that she worked back stage on. That was fun! My sympathy to Jeanne's family at her passing. Ruth Kerl

Jeanne and I were classmates at Edgewood Kindergarten, Grade School and High School. When I was old enough to be aware that we don’t all share the same gifts I was aware of Jeanne’s intellect. She shined above us all. She possessed talents and interests in diverse spheres…a real gift. My heart goes out to her family…take comfort in knowing she had an impact in so many ways. I hope to join the funeral on line. Judy (Hank) Schwarz Portland Oregon

I am so saddened to hear about Jeanne. We were best friends in grade school, high school and afterwards. Actually, if someone now would ask me about my 'best friend', Jeanne would be the one! I still recall Jeanne doing my algebra homework for me during our lunch as I never could figure out algebra. Thinking of the hours she, Pat, Bob and I spent at Paisans - all we could afford was breadsticks and sauce (I hope we had the sense to tip our servers back then). Jeanne and I were excited to be in each other's weddings as our friendship entered our young adult years. Jeanne was a wonderful friend and I know is missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and love her. Chris Heilman Clark
