Sue was a longtime member of the Middleton/Madison Essential Tremor and Dystonia Support group. She met her essential tremor challenges head on and her fabulous sense of humor invited fellow members giggle about the workarounds instead of giving up. We will miss her very much, but her legacy definitely continues. Three weeks ago, a new member (also named Sue!) asked how to deal with hand tremor when using her cell phone. I told her about Sue T.’s method for tooth brushing (“minimize the number of many body parts your brain has to keep track -- plant your elbow on the edge of the sink and move your mouth back and forth”) and suggested that she experiment with that principle. Sue E.’s reponse was “If someone can brush their teeth like that, I can change my position responding to emails on my iPhone.” Another convert to Sue T’s inimitable example of how to keep living well with ET even when we have to do it differently...! I’m so sorry Val to hear about your sister, Sue’s passing. It sounds like I brush my teeth the same way it was described in Kathy’s email from Middleton. It was right on. Prayers for you and your family. Laurie from River Falls.

Sue was a wonderful soul. She was so welcoming as we blended our families. My son's family became an extension of my own. I remember the first time we met. It was like I'd known her forever. She even helped me with a perfect gift for my husband, a cross stitch pattern of Bucky. She will be forever missed.
