I got to know Scott at a very young age through his sister, Sharon Barrett Shriver. My brother and I lived close to the Barrett’s in Crystal Lake, and for a few short years, we spent time on and off with their family. I know Scott will be missed dearly by his siblings, and all who knew him, many prayers are sent to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Rest in peace, dear Scott. Lynn (Blomseth) Trinoskey

Scott and Laurie welcomed Ian and Trudy Edson from Australia in 2013 at Chicago Airport. I ( Trudy) had been pen paling for some time and hit it off. We Re taken on an an amazing tour for a few days Laurie found a long lost elderly farming friend I had been writing to for 20 years and we all had lunch. Ian and Scott hit it off and remained good friends we are so sad that we want get to meet Scott again but he is in our hearts forever. God bless You keep you safe till we all meet again.

Our Sons of Norway members are deeply saddened by Scott's unexpected passing. He and Laurie have been a vital part of our lodge willing to take on various leadership positions, lead Foundation activities during their time as the Foundation Directors, his help setting up and cleaning up after the crafting weekend events, helping with food prep, our cultural committee, and helping with so many activities. Scott always had a smile, a joke, and could bring a little humor to any situation. We will truly miss him and pray for his family as they adjust to life without him. Our deepest sympathy from John and I along with all of SN Mandt Lodge members. It was truly our honor and privilege to know Scott and to call him a friend.

I had the opportunity to work with Scott and Bryn as our consultants for several years. Over those years we had many laughs and enjoyed talking about Wisconsin and cheese curds. Unfortunately my role changed and we lost touch but I asked about him often when talking with a co-worker that was still connected. Scott was such an intelligent and caring soul and will be missed greatly. My sincere condolences to the family.
