Obituary

POYNETTE - Lynette (Allegar) Nehls, 70, passed away peacefully August 25, 2023, surrounded by family after a second battle with cancer. Lynette grew up in Wyocena, WI and was married to Robert Nehls of Poynette in 1978 where they raised their family while dairy farming for years in Dekorra.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert Nehls; children, Ben Nehls (Bobbi), Jennifer (Doug) Detrick, and Heather (Ken) Alden; and grandchildren, Rowan and Jane Detrick.

Lynette’s compassion ran deep from taking care of livestock and rescuing wildlife to supporting disabled adults for 15 years post farming. She was loved by all.

So many great memories of Lynette.... starting with 1st grade at Wyocena Grade School all the way through to high school graduation at Pardeeville High School. I remember going with her to pick out a dress for junior prom... she was our lovely prom queen. ❤ After graduation we enjoyed a few more fun shenanigans, but we weren't in touch too much after I moved to Minnesota. I'm so glad she could come to our 50th class reunion a couple of years ago. She will always be remembered fondly. Sending sympathy, love and peace to all of her loved ones. 🙏❤
