Obituary
MARSHALL - David V. Cobb, age 64, of Marshall, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at Rainbow Hospice Care. He was born on Aug. 28, 1958, in Columbus, Wis., the son of Vernon Cobb and Lyla (Balke) Cobb.
David was a graduate of Marshall High School. He married Susan (Spilde) Cobb on Nov. 6, 1994.
Prior to retirement, David enjoyed a 40-year career working as a custodian for the Marshall School District. He loved the children and enjoyed seeing the generations come through the school. He also enjoyed attending the sporting events and musical productions to support his students.
David was a member of St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church in Deerfield. In his free time, he was an avid woodworker and enjoyed creating keepsakes. He also enjoyed trains and watching all Wisconsin sports.
David is survived by his wife, Susan; sisters, Susan (nee Cobb) Miller and Sara Cobb; brother, Daniel (Sherryl) Cobb; brother-in-law, Tom (Barbara) Spilde; godchildren, Alexandra Bentz and Mason Birkrem and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Bill Miller.
A memorial service will be held at ST. PAUL'S LIBERTY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3494 Oak Park Road, Deerfield, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, with the Rev. Holly Slater presiding. A luncheon will follow. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
