LAKE GENEVA - Gerald W. “Jerry” Rundblad, age 79, of Lake Geneva, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, at Upland Hills Hospice. He was born on May 22, 1944, in Chicago Ill., the son of Elmer and Eileen (Tobin) Rundblad.
Jerry was born and raised in Chicago and graduated from Chicago Public High Schools in 1964. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. When Jerry returned home, he began working for The Dartnell Corporation, beside his brother, Donald. Upon retirement, Jerry moved to Lake Geneva and continued to work at Walmart in Lake Geneva.
Jerry was an avid downhill skier. He also enjoyed bicycling, camping and hiking. He enjoyed making home improvements and relished the days he could stay at home in the peacefulness of his surroundings. But most of all, he treasured the time spent time with his family.
Jerry is survived by his niece, Colleen (Bill Rhodes) Stram-Rhodes; nephew, Kevin Stram; great-nephews, Dylan (Libby) Detmer, Logan Detmer and Wyatt Detmer; and great-great niece, Vivian Detmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Eileen; sister, Kareen (Lee) Stram; and brother, Don Rundblad.
