What a wonderful Obit! Loved Rita! What a SPIT FIRE she was and a great friend of Mom's! Even though they were only friends for 3 1/2 years, they definitely bonded! Cribbage was the game that started that great friendship. Heaven is in for a treat with her! Fiesty and Spirited was how she always came across. Always made me smile when I saw her. Dear Pam and family, Your words and memories are exactly what I remember about Rita when we were young and growing up down the block on Escanaba St. I loved being at your house and sleeping over because she always made us her Swedish pancakes and other good treats. She always made me feel welcome and comfortable. Over the years when I would see her she would give me the biggest hugs and was always smiling and wanting to know how the family was doing. I’m so sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how much you’ll miss her.
