My mother told me that, as I recall, on the first day of school in either first grade or kindergarten, I was very late coming home. It seems that Linda invited me to her house for doughnuts! Her kindness started at a very early age. RIP Linda.

I have thought so often and deeply of Linda and her family in these recent weeks. I met Linda when we both started graduate school together at University of Wisc. I so clearly remember the spark in her eyes, the perennial smile, and her fascination with learning. I know she changed the world in so many ways in her too-short life. I’ve made a donation to Planned Parenthood in honor of all that she believed in and worked towards.
