MADISON / COTTAGE GROVE - Jeffrey “Jeff” Allen Lehnherr, age 61, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on Aug. 9, 1961, in Madison, Wis., the son of Richard and Patricia (Kraak) Lehnherr.
Jeff is survived by his cousin, Jodi Bone, of N.C.; best friend, Patty Kearns Tucker and her two boys, Alex and Jackson; as well as the rest of the Kearns family; and his two dogs, Meko and Chloe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made gifted in Jeff’s name to the Dane County Humane Society. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Got a message this morning from a mutual friend that Jeff had passed away!
What a SHOCK!
Jeff and I were neighbors, friends and on the town board together.
We'd get together down home as well as Up North and I'll miss his camaraderie.
So sad to loose someone at such a young age.

Jeff was our neighbor for many years and we were so overjoyed and honored to get to know him as a friend. We were so proud of his successful campaign to become a town board supervisor. Jeff's kind heart and beautiful strong spirit will remain in our hearts, and his sparkling eyes and wonderful smile will always be on our mind. Such a warm and beautiful person.
