So sorry for the loss of Mary Lou. I fixed her hair for 30+ years. I enjoyed our talks and friendship. She will be missed by all !

Several years ago my brother and I were looking at graves in St. Mary’s of Pine Bluff Cemetery as we have several ancestral kin buried there. We decided to go inside the church too as our great great grand uncle had donated a stained glass window to the church and we wanted to see it. As we were walking down the hall, Mary Lou stepped out of the office and asked if she could help us. She then told us about the church, the first settlers and the German-Irish divisions. When we told her of our family connections to the church, she graciously showed us the 150 year anniversary booklet, told us the locations of our ancestors’ farms, her connection with people we knew in Mount Horeb and, finally, the stained glass window. Later she gave me the name of a person to contact about a written genealogy and I was able to get in touch with him. She was so knowledgeable, informative and friendly, a lovely woman whose generosity was very much appreciated.

I am sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed getting a chance to talk with her at the family get togethers.
