Obituary
MADISON - Beverly Jean Nesbitt, age 93, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on August 23, 1931, in Boscobel, the daughter of James and Mina (Greenfield) Mindham.
Beverly grew up on her family farm in Boscobel and graduated from Boscobel High School. She was united in marriage to Howard Nesbitt on February 28, 1955, in Iowa. Beverly worked at L&L Foods and later for WT Rogers packing orders in the warehouse for many years.
Beverly loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and traveling with Howard and cross-stitching in her free time. She was a wonderful cook, enjoying baking, canning and receiving recipes. Beverly was an animal lover through and through, especially adoring the companionship of her beloved cats.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Lori (Al) Maier; grandchildren, Amanda (Aaron) Reyna and Brandon (Rachel) Maier; great-grandchildren, Avery and Adrian Reyna, and Cecelia, Zek, Huxley Maier; sister-in-law, Jean Mindham; many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends, Shawna, Jeannie and Sandy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Nesbitt; son, Howie Nesbitt Jr.; parents, James and Mina; brothers, Clifford, James and Donald Mindham; and sister, Helen Mindham.
A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. A private family burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
