MADISON - Sharon A. Seely, age 89, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on January 16, 1936, in Spring Green, Wis., to Carl and Ellen (Hanson) Frederickson. She was their only daughter and grew up with four older brothers. Sharon graduated from Spring Green High School in 1954. On May 9, 1959, she married the love of her life, Ronald M. Seely. They were married for 65 years until his death on December 11, 2024.
Sharon enjoyed being a homemaker and worked a variety of jobs in the Madison area that included clerical work at Electronic Data Systems and American Family Insurance. She was also a waitress and served many loyal customers. In 2001, Sharon and Ron moved to Homosassa, Fla., to enjoy their retirement years. In 2022, they returned back to Madison.
Sharon enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Elks Club and Messiah Lutheran Church.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron; brothers, Wayne (Delores), Keith (Dorothy), Carl (Darlene) and Dean Frederickson; and nephew, Richard Frederickson. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Frederickson; several nieces and nephews; and friends.
A funeral service will be held at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Burial will take place at Big Hollow Cemetery in Spring Green, Wis.
