Gerald Vernon Green

Jerry was a figure present in my life since I was in grade school. He and my father were motorcycle pals, and I’m sure shared many other experiences together. Jerry always was rather soft spoken, and seemed to think before he spoke. I’ll miss his kindness and serenity.

Some of my best memories with Papa Jerry are going for rides. He would always take me for a ride if I asked. I have rode with him in many different cars including his classics and his motorcycle. If I asked he would give it gas and rev up the engine. He would also say “Watch out for those pink flying Elephants” and make me laugh or smile if he knew I was sad or upset. I also remember the Alabama concert we went to. So many memories. He was such a great man and will be missed dearly.

Sending healing thoughts and prayers to your family during this difficult time. Jerry was one in a million and will be greatly missed by us all.

My father was an extremely honest man and had a wonderful soul. I loved the fact that he used to race at the drag strips and he loved horsepower! Cars, Motorcycles, and later horses. Some of my best memories were riding with him on his motorcycle. Like his father Jerry also loved his animal companions. I will miss him forever.
