Karl was a valued member of the Madison Gem and Mineral Club which he served in several capacities including as vice-president for many years. At the club's annual show and sale, he was always selling interesting things, some of which I had to buy. I always enjoyed talking rocks with him and will miss that. May you find a big unsearched rock pile.

We knew Karl from his love of astronomy when he was a member of the Popular Astronomy club. Really enjoyed observing with him. We will miss him. Condolences, Al & Sara Sheidler

Karl was great friend. I remember recording albums onto cassette tapes with Karl when I was in college, he had a very large album collection. Some of those songs still remind me of Karl. I always enjoyed talking with Karl and Jana. He will be greatly missed. Tom Raufer
