Obituary
MADISON - Tanya Marie Kuoppala, age 49, of Madison, passed away of natural causes, on Friday, May 5, 2023. She was born on Jan. 26, 1974, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Melvin Kuoppala and Dorothy (Copchunis) Gorman.
Tanya graduated from Madison East High School. She liked wolves and collected many wolf statues and posters. She enjoyed being outdoors and would spend hours drawing. Tanya enjoyed spending time with her family and was always looking for a good cup of coffee and Mountain Dew, especially with her friends. Tanya was a people person and worked in a variety of jobs.
Tanya is survived by her son, Jacob; mother, Dorothy (Paul) Gorman; three sisters, Barbara "Barb" Tumidajewicz, Linda (Larry Snow) Kuoppala-Snow and Christina DiLorenzo; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by father, Melvin R Kuoppala; brother, John Disch; maternal grandparents, John and Marie Copchunis; paternal grandparents, Chester and Elsie Pilarzyk; and grandparents, Victor and Marie Gorman.
A gathering will be held at the VFW POST 1318, 2740 Ski Lane, Madison, at 12 noon until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Memorials may be made to the family.
