To all of the family and friends. To all the hearts that Lyall has touched. I was lucky to be one of those people. This goes out to Tom Bries, Homer Simpson, Delmar Uphoff, Jim Moran and many others. I have never forgotten the best of times. Kris Uehling from the 70’s

I met Lyall when I was 16 years old and he had his shop on Willy Street. He appeared to be the coolest guy I had ever, or would ever meet. He was ten years older and a generation more knowledgeable and world wise than I could hope to be. I bought my first bike from Lyall. And, over the years, especially when he moved back out to the family farm and built a new shop, that was always a special destination for me. Kindness and generosity just seemed to flow naturally from Lyall. Once thinking I would surprise him, I brought over a friend and his buddy, Bill Davidson, (yeah of HD Davidson). We walked into the shop and Lyall looked up from the counter and looking at Bill said, "You look just like your dad." Lyall was a legend. His like will not pass this way again.
