Michael "Mike" John Grelle

FITCHBURG- Michael John Grelle, age 58, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Michael truly lived his Christian faith. He put his family, friends and everyone that needed help before himself. He was an exemplar of showing love through action, leaving a legacy of tenacity, devotion and sacrifice. The only love that surpassed his love of nature was his love of family. Through his life, he maintained a passion for outdoors activities including hunting, fishing and various sports.

Michael was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Margaret Ann Grelle. He is survived by his loving family: wife, Dawn; daughter, Heather (Marco) and their daughter, Neriah; son, Matt; brother, Chris (Bridget) and their children, Aidan and Bryce; brother-in-law, David Smith; and his father, John Christopher Grelle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding.  Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, and also at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Tuesday.  Memorials may be made to the family for a future fund to be established, or to the Stoddard Bergen Fire Department.
