Obituary

MARSHALL - Paul J. Mowery, age 67, of Marshall, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1955, in Milwaukee, the son of James and Ruth (Henkel) Mowery.

Paul graduated from Delavan-Darien High School in 1973. He served in the U.S. Army from August of 1974 until June of 1980. Paul was united in marriage to Teresa "Teri" Studee on Oct. 18, 2008, in Jefferson, Wis. He worked as a carpenter and truly enjoyed woodworking.  

Paul was proud of his German and Norwegian ancestry. He loved studying world history, building models, sweets (especially candy and cookies) and had a special place in his heart for his kitten, Little Guy.  

Paul is survived by his wife, Teri; daughter, Angela (Jordan) Mowery; son, Michael (Rachel) Mowery; grandchildren, Parker and Logan Kewin and Silas Mowery; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Barbara Hurd; and siblings, Bruce and (Debbie) Mowery, Alan Mowery and Amy (Michael) Beauchemin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Diane Mowery.


A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023, with military honors to follow.

The DDHS Reunion Committee and graduating class of 1973 would like to extend our most heartfelt condolences on Paul's passing to his family. Just learned today on his FB page.
