MARSHALL - Joan Ruth (Jacobson) Ernst died Friday, November 22, 2024. She was a loving mother of four children. Her occupations included various careers as an accountant, phone operator and realtor. She graduated from Blackhawk Tech in accounting. She was an avid reader who loved playing cards and traveling.
Joan is survived by three children, Gary (Marcie) Ernst of Dassel, Minn., Carol (John) Brausen of Sun Prairie, Wis., and Wendy Croskrey of Fairbanks, Alaska; three grandchildren, Scott Ernst, Jeff Ernst, and Eric Ernst; great-grandchild, Lucy Ernst; and three step-grandchildren, Andrew, Amber, and Chassie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Lundberg; father, Marvin Jacobson; husband, Harvey Ernst; son, Glen Ernst; and sisters, Annetta Oliver and Elizabeth Derlin.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2025. Interment will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Monona, Wis., at a later date.
