Obituary

STOUGHTON - Nancy Viney, age 78, of Stoughton, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Aug. 7, 1944, in Stoughton, Wis., the daughter of Clarence Hoffman and Arlene (Farnsworth) Hoffman.

 

Nancy married Jerome "Chub" Viney on Nov. 11, 1989, at their home in Stoughton. Prior to retirement, Nancy worked as a beautician for almost 50 years eventually running the beauty salon at Skaalen home. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and planting flowers around her home.  She liked dancing, listening to classic country music and spending time with her dog, Lorenzo. Nancy loved her family fiercely. She loved deeply and had such a big heart.

 

Nancy is survived by her husband, Jerome "Chub"; daughter, Shannon Gunsolus; step-daughter, Sherry (Todd) Kramer; step-son, Brent Viney; grandsons, Nic (Katie) Mason and Mitch (Jamie Tambornino) Gunsolus; as well as nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Vince Viney; brothers, Howard and James Hoffman; and sister, Sheila Gerard.

 

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 12 noon on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Burial will take place at Lutheran South Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare. The family wishes to thank the staff of Stoughton Hospital and Agrace HospiceCare for all of their wonderful care given to Nancy and her family. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

So, so very sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. On behalf of our entire Lamb family, we send you our sincere sympathies. Of course, she was Mom's favorite hair stylist and always enjoyed visiting with Nancy. She was always impressed at how hard both Nancy and you, Chub, worked.
