FALL RIVER- Kathryn Louise “Kathy” Allen, age 72, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, in Fall River. She was born on Dec. 21, 1950, in Reedsburg, the daughter of William and Cleo (Rockweiler) Dietenberger.
Kathy graduated from Hartford High School in Hartford, Wis., and received her LPN and associate degree in architectural drafting. She was united in marriage to Daniel Allen on Aug. 12, 1972, in Hartford.
Kathy worked as an LPN, fire protection specialist, architectural drafter, seamstress and business owner. She was an award-winning quilter, a gardener, and asparagus farmer, but her favorite role was grandmother.
Kathy is survived by her daughter, Sarah Allen, grandson, Shane (Jess) Thrun, great-grandchildren, Roman and Aurora Thrun; son, Chad (Dawn) Allen, grandson, Griffin Allen; and daughter, Brenda (Chris) Johnsrud, grandchildren, Jakob and Viktoria Johnsrud. She is further survived by her five brothers; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel; sister, Rose Martin; and parents, William and Cleo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 434 N. Main St., Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, with Fr. Brian Dulli presiding. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Monday.
