DEFOREST - Adele Schara (nee Bruckert) age 86, of DeForest, Wis., was unexpectedly called to her heavenly home on April 9, 2023, Easter Sunday!
Wife of Noble character, Mother devoted to her children, Grandma dedicated to her grandsons, Great Grandma doting on her prince. Daughter to German Immigrants and Auntie loved by her nieces and nephews.
Her life endeavors: Public School Teacher, Secretary, Medical Records Keeper, Waitress, Sunday School Teacher, Prayer Warrior and Child of God.
She was born in Honey Creek, Wis., to Carl F. and Anna B. Bruckert. She attended grade school in a one room schoolhouse in Honey Creek. Adele grew up on the farm, her days filled with barnyard chores and honing her baking skills. She developed a love for the piano and played the trumpet in high school. Adele loved to sing and dance. She graduated in 1955 from Prairie du Sac High School. Adele pursued and attained a Bachelor of Science and Elementary Education degree in 1970. Between 1955 and 1970 she was busy working to pay her way through school, getting married, raising her family and crafting her domestic engineer skills. Adele taught in Baraboo and Madison Public Schools. She worked for Swiss Colony, VA Hospital, WPS and American Family Insurance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl F. and Anna B. Bruckert; brother, Walter Bruckert; and sister, Lottie Heinz. Her legacy lives on in her children, Scott (Rachel) Schara, Erin Schara and Jill Schara; grandsons, AJ (Brandon) Schara and Christopher Schara; great-grandson, Skylar Schara; and many nieces and nephews that loved her so much.
A funeral service will be held at OUR SAVIOUR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1201 Droster Road, Madison, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023. A graveside service will follow at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona. A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, and also at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
