MADISON - Ruth A. Theisen, passed away on her 100th birthday, Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Heritage Monona. She was born on April 4, 1923, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Axel and Alma "Amy" (Erickson) Narf.

Ruth was a secretary for Oscar Mayer, then retired from the State of Wisconsin. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Raymond Theisen, for 30 years before his passing in 1970. Ruth loved spending time with her family, whether it was family get togethers to having close relationships with all her nieces and nephews and their families. She was a member of Olbrich Gardens and enjoyed being outdoors and gardening.

Ruth is survived by her nieces, Debra Glynn and Deanna Smith; nephew, Dennis M. Narf; and many great-nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Philip, Alex, Arthur and Robert Narf.

My mother, Evelyn Schrotz, worked with Ruth at Central Wisconsin Center. She always spoke very fondly of her and continued their friendship after retirement visiting her at her home on the north side. Mom would take Ruth desserts from Willy Co-op. Ruth always spoke highly of her nieces and nephews. My mother passed in 2016.
