Obituary
OREGON - Tyler Jacob Michael Nauta, age 26, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at UW Hospital. He was born on November 11, 1996, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, the son of Michael and Jennifer (Porterfield) Nauta.
Tyler graduated from Abundant Life Christian School in 2014 and attended both Madison College and UW-Whitewater. He currently worked as a dispatcher for Kaiser Logistics, Inc. Prior to Kaiser Logistics, he was co-founder and vice president of Fitchburg Farms.
Tyler loved golfing, fishing and camping. He liked fast cars, boating with his friends, and playing video games. He also enjoyed following the stock market and was interested in history.
Tyler is survived by his father, Mike (Lynn Daguanno) Nauta; mother, Jen Nauta; sister, Flynn Jasmine Nauta; paternal grandparents, Case and Gaye Nauta; and maternal grandparents, Philip and Renee Porterfield. He is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Tom Porterfield; and cousin, Braden Nauta.
A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations towards the Tyler J. Nauta Scholarship Fund. The proceeds of the scholarship will go towards students who have shown an inclination for Personal Finance, specifically stocks and the likes, as these were Tyler’s passion. Please do not feel obligated to donate, as we are simply thankful for the love you’ve shown. Checks may be made out Tyler J.
