Grandpa was the best!! While hundreds of miles separated us physically he was never more than a phone call or text message away. I can’t begin to total all the hours spent talking about our shared interests of Wisconsin sports, Star Wars, Marvel movies, racing, golf, basketball, football, baseball, soccer and of course our families. I am really going to miss our conversations, constant laughter and us figuring out how Wisconsin, the Brewers, and Packers would win their next championship. I will miss you Grandpa! I love you!

I knew Gerry while we both worked in banking in Middleton. When Don Jones hired him to travel with me to conduct banking seminars nationally, I was delighted. We spent several months as "road warriors and trainers." We shared hundreds of laughs and stories while driving from city to city, teaching and entertaining. Those were some of the best days of my life. Thank you, Gerry with a "G", for the fond memories, counsel, and friendship. You were a huge positive influence on a young man's life. My deepest condolences to Ruth Ann, Christine, Carin, and your families.

I'm sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. He was a good friend of both my late husband and I through the Mendota Gridiron Club. If we needed assistance at the meetings, Gerry was there to help. I wish Ruth Ann my greatest condolences. I'm sorry I can't attend the services. Sue Huss (Jim Huss)

I first met Gerry when he became my banking contact many years ago but soon became a solid friend. When spent lots of time together at various UW sports events and booster meetings. So glad he had a long, full and joyous life. I will be unable to make the visitation or service unfortunately but will certainly have him in my thoughts and give Ruthann and the kids my sincerest condolences. Terry Kurth
