Obituary
MADISON - Rosemary E. Digney, age 91, of Madison, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023. She was born on Sept. 30, 1931, in Madison, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Frederick) Pickarts.
Rosemary was united in marriage to Robert Digney on May 24, 1952, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Madison. She assisted with the family business, Bob’s Rod & Reel Repair, alongside her husband and son. She also helped care for her granddaughters for many years after her retirement.
Rosemary was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing board and card games, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and watching baseball on television. Most of all, she loved spending family time together, especially with her granddaughters.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Digney; granddaughters, Sara (Daniel) Kelly and Caitlin (Doug) McGrath; great-granddaughters, Molly Kelly, Finley Kelly and Cassidy Kelly; and her wonderful Anchor Drive neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, David Digney, brother, Anthony Pickarts; and sister, Christine Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday.
