Obituary
BOSCOBEL - Richard Harold “Dick” Lewis, age 82, of Boscobel, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. He was born on March 1, 1941, in Fennimore, Wis., the son of Harold and Sophia (Burgess) Lewis.
Dick attended Boscobel High School and then graduated from Diesel Truck Driving School in Sun Prairie. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Ann Miller, on Nov. 25, 1961, at Boscobel Methodist Church. Dick worked as an over the road truck driver for 40 years and was also a car and semi-truck mechanic, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed working on race cars.
Dick was active in the Assembly of God Church in Boscobel. He was a talented wood worker and enjoyed teaching his daughters new things. Dick loved hunting, fishing and bird watching. He grew beautiful roses and loved the companionship of his cats.
Dick is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sharon; daughters, Brenda (Brian) Hamilton, Becky (Tom) Mason, Tina Driscoll and Robin Lewis; 11 grandchildren, Ben, Kaila, Shelby, Kaitlyn, Leah, Matt, Corey, Kristina, Brandon, Brittany, and Jade; great-grandchild, Tilly; sisters, Joan Atkinson and Jean Roghers; and brother, Charles Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Diane Pucket and Maxine Fuerstenberg; and brothers, Bill Lewis and Randy Lewis.
A memorial service will be held at BOSCOBEL ASSEMBLY OF GOD, 301 Chestnut St., Boscobel, at 12 noon on Saturday, April 22, 2023, with the Rev. Ryan Langner presiding. A luncheon will follow the service. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
