Carin Lea Chase

MOUNT HOREB - Carin Lea (Acker) Chase, age 36, died tragically in a car accident on Friday, March 17, 2023. She was the daughter of Kevin and Theresa Acker.

As a little girl, Carin developed a love for raspberries. You could always find Carin in her grandparents’ raspberry patch. As a youngster she excelled in all the youth sport activities, soccer being her favorite. Carin achieved a marketing degree at Madison College. She worked in the family flooring business with her father, husband and brothers. Even as the work was physically challenging, she loved it. She learned the trade and was very good, as many people requested her for their work. Carin had a passion to help people in need and she had a great love for animals. Carin loved playing board and card games with her kids and family. She also thoroughly enjoyed crafts.

Carin is survived by her parents; loving husband, Jeff Chase; children, Ashley (fiancé Jack Newson), Kayla and Ryan; sister, Lindsey (Justin) Jafferis; brothers, Dylan Acker (fiancée Lexi Bahr) and Kramer Acker; father and mother in-law, Jack and Diane Chase; sister-in-law, Carrie (Mark) Felix; grandparents, Syl and Jean Acker, and Karen (Dean) Butler Short; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Joseph Patrick Butler; uncle, Kyle Acker; and cousin, Amanda Butler.

A celebration of life will be held at Gunderson Camacho Mount Horeb Funeral and Cremation Care, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday, March 30, 2023.
