A great guy. Gone too soon.

I’m saddened to hear about Mort. My prayers go out to Sue, the kids and family. Sending my love and hugs. Joyce

Mort and I were friends from first grade until the end. He was a very caring and generous person and I learned so much from him. He was my best man when I got married and I was his best man when he got married. My heart broke when Sue called me and told me had passed away.

I am so glad that I was able to be friends with Mort. Everything he did for our Mustangs team was incredible whether it was preparing for our annual Pig Roast, collecting gate money during games or simply staying late on a Thursday night to have a beer with the team. He will be missed. Go Mustangs!

Oh Mort, back in the day it was so much fun, so many memories, so many laughs. My heart goes out to Sue and the kids, he was one of a kind and can never be replaced. Rest in peace my friend, I'll see you on the other side by reaching you on the CB radio on the Banana Land channel... Tom "Turtle" Ambler
