This is one tough lady! I hope I can follow her footsteps and take the bull by the horns like she did in life. I am grateful to have known this beautiful soul!

My condolences to the family of my former neighbor as our families were growing up. She was a super lady, friend, and bridge player. I have many good memories of both Nancy and Ralph.

Nancy was such a remarkably strong, funny, wise person. She always brought such insight and humor to our library programs. I truly loved talking with her and laughing with her. She definitely always brightened my day and I'm blessed to have known her.

I met Nancy during my years in the Cherokee Park neighborhood through her sons, Chris, and Scott. She was a great lady and one who welcomed me into their home like I was another of her sons. One of my fondest memories of her was when she secured U.S. Open Golf Tournament tickets at Hazeltine National in Minnesota for Chris as a birthday present. We had worked together on the surprise and when she got word of her success, she called me and exclaimed, "Eureka!". She could not wait to give her gift to her son. That was who Nancy was - selfless and giving.
My sincere condolences to the extended Washburn family.
Sincerely,

I didn't know Nancy long, but served on the Friends of the Library with her. She always made me smile, and was ready to laugh at the jokes we cracked at the meetings. She was full of spunk and I loved seeing her at the library functions. She will be missed.
