Lisa Racz

Lisa Racz, age 84, formerly of Roselle, Ill., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, one day before her 85th birthday. Lisalotte was born on Feb. 18, 1938, the third child of Anton and Lena Heinick. She was born in Bad Homburg vor der Hohe, Germany. Lisa immigrated to the United States in 1954.

Lisa was married to Steven Racz and had three lovely daughters, Diane Pugh, Stephanie (John) Czuprynko and Ramona (James) Brorson. She had eight wonderful grandchildren, Amy Meier, Christina Sinor, Monica Czuprynko, Renee (Jarett) Sveum, Krystin Czuprynko, Donald Brorson, Isaac Brorson and Louisa Brorson; and five great-grandchildren.

Lisa loved gardening, painting, dancing and traveling to exotic places. She loved nature and had a special affection for dogs, birds and elephants. Lisa was a devout homemaker, lauded cook and enjoyed listening to the radio while she busied herself with preparations. She had a green thumb and tended to her plants both indoors and out in the garden, with great success. Lisa was an avid canner and loved entertaining guests with her delicious home prepared dinners. She also was an active participant in adult Bible study classes and enjoyed attending church services on Sundays. Lisa was always a hard worker, from her first job at the Hammond Organ Factory to her long-term service at Lake Park High School, as well as many families she helped in their homes.

She is further survived by her sisters, Renate and Kristal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Lena; her brother, Hans; and sister, Hedwig.  

John 3.16-17 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
