MADISON - Donald Charles Gerhard, age 90, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023. He was born on Feb. 6, 1932, in Milwaukee, the son of Charles and Addie (Smith) Gerhard.
Donald is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Jenni Gerhard; and son, Randall (Holly) Gerhard. He was preceded in death by his son, David Gerhard.
Don requested no services.

Was just wondering how Don was doing a few days ago after not seeing him for several years now. He was one of my first bosses at UW System and a great mentor in my career in campus planning. I traveled with him around the state to visit the 24 campuses and we always had to hit the usual lunch or dinner places. He loved the Bolo in Menomonie, WI or Jake's on the Lake whenever we went up to UW-Stout or UW-River Falls. Many, many great memories of Don and our travels. Rest well my friend.
