Obituary

MADISON- Patricia Amundson, age 75, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on July 1, 1947, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Robert and Lucille (Westbye) Staley. Patty graduated from Oregon High School.


Patty enjoyed reading, taking photos, being outdoors, hiking, canoeing, and being around campfires. She had a special appreciation for bald eagles. Patty loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events.


Patty is survived by her sons, Joe (Dana) Dennis and Mike (Shyra Rendon) Dennis; seven grandchildren, Jessika (Greg) Coleman, Luticia (Gabriel Lara) Dennis, Michael (Allison) Dennis, Kodiak Dennis, Mackinley Dennis, Alexander Rendon and Antonio Rendon; great-grandchildren, Adrian, Kyra, Raiden, Renzo and Ronin; and brothers, Robert (Cindy) Staley and Scott (Vicky) Staley. She was preceded in death by her parents.


A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023.

Pat was my Best Friend for Many Years! We shared many memories, that will never be forgotten. Much Laughter! Niles married my husband and I on the 4th of July of 2000. I met her when I was 18. I'm now 64. She always told me, when the time comes, She will see me on the other side of the rainbow! We will see each other again. All my Love to the Family and friends .
