STOUGHTON - Cornelia “Corky” Henrietta Buchanan, age 80, of Stoughton, was reunited with her beloved husband, Bill, on their 60th wedding anniversary the evening of Jan. 18, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on Feb. 28, 1942, in Chicago, the daughter of Gerrit and Anna (Vanderwall) Prince.
Corky enjoyed traveling, bowling, crocheting and Bingo. She was an active volunteer at the Stoughton Senior Center and delivered Meals on Wheels for several years. Corky took pride in caring for her family. Once her children were older, she became a real estate agent .
Corky is survived by her son, William “Bill” Wesley (Penny) Buchanan, III; daughter, Joy (Steve) Bychowski; three granddaughters, Elizabeth (Nick) Fox, Jen Buchanan and Rebecca (Noah) Middleton; three grandsons, Andrew Buchanan, Kyle Buchanan and Sean Bychowski; and great-grandchild, RJ Fox. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William W. Buchanan, Jr.; and two brothers, Butch and Tom Prince.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, at 4 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
