Obituary
MADISON - Robert Rodney (Bobby) Holt, age 48, of Madison, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, at UW Hospital and Clinics. He was born on Nov. 29, 1974, in Madison, the son of Robert and Shirley (Ellestad) Holt. Bobby graduated from Madison East High School in 1994. He worked as a machine operator for Evco in DeForest for many years.
Bobby was such a kind-hearted, fun-loving guy. If you were important to him, you knew it by the way he treated you and made you feel special. He always had a funny saying, or quick little joke to share, just to make others laugh and smile. Bobby enjoyed camping, sitting around campfires, and listening to music. He enjoyed many music genres, but the old classic country songs that he grew up listening to were his favorite. Time with family was very important to Bobby. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He would glow whenever they were around and would do anything for them.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Shirley Holt; wife, Heather (Carney); children, Deaven Wiedmer, Cristian Wiedmer, Sheyann Holt, Aleysia (Becca) Wiedmer and Collyn Holt; grandchildren, Lillyonna, Aliveyah, Izayah and Malachi; sister, Laura Johnson; brother-in-law, Tim Volenberg; niece and nephews; Lexie, Nicholas, and Cory; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Holt; sister, Tina Volenberg; brother-in-law, Craig Johnson; grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held at EAGLE’S CLUB, 2109 Bartillon Dr., Madison from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
