Cottage Grove - Nancy Lee Cornwall, age 77, of Cottage Grove, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Sun Prairie Health Care Center. She was born on Oct. 27, 1945, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Dock and Eunice (Houff) Miller.
Nancy graduated from Central High School, then continued her studies at UW-Madison, earning her master’s degree. While attending the UW Nancy belonged to the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. She worked as a driving instructor for 35 years and was proud to have taught two generations of kids to drive, before her retirement in 2021.
She was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, also active in the Moose Lodge and volunteered with the Lions Club. Nancy was an animal lover, especially dogs, she enjoyed traveling and gambling.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Kevin Cornwall and Todd Cornwall; sister, Joyce Kensinger; two sisters-in-law, Ann McCann and Jean McCann; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Dan Miller, Dick McCann and David McCann; and brother-in-law, Mike Kensinger.
