BARABOO- Maxine La Vonne Haug, age 91, of Baraboo, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at Maplewood Health Care Center of Sauk Prairie. She was born on Sept. 17, 1931, in Cazenovia, Wis., the daughter of Loren Stout and Georgia Ferguson.
Maxine met and married the love of her life, Jerry Haug, March 23, 1974. She enjoyed working as a book binder for Demco and Webcrafters for many years.
Maxine and Jerome enjoyed refinishing furniture, visiting their cottage, dancing, traveling to Las Vegas, Yatzee, Bingo and going to the casino. Maxine also enjoyed seeing her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren when they could visit.
Maxine is survived by her daughters, Susan (David) Jewell and Judy Stofflet; her grandchildren, Joy Winchell, Denise Stofflet, Stacy (Campbell) Boland, Corey Campbell and Cindy (Campbell) Wyrick; as well as several great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry; her daughter, Dyan Cummings; her siblings, Della Cruice, Gordon and Avery Stout; and grandson, David Stofflet.
Per Maxine’s wishes, no services will be held.
