Obituary

MADISON - Dorothy Kilgore, age 92, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at Heritage Monona. She was born on March 21, 1930, in Medford, Wis., the daughter of Frank and Alvina (Krolow) Tesch.


Dorothy was an avid Badgers Hockey and Green Bay Packers fan. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and her family has so many fond memories of her.


Dorothy is survived by her children, Richard (Linda) Kilgore, Kathy (Greg) Polster and Brian (Dorothy) Kilgore; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; husband, Robert; partner, Bill Hansen; and son, Michael Robert Kilgore.

Dorothy lived across the street from me growing up. Her daughter Kathy and I were best friends…I spent many days and nights at ther house, her dinner table. She was like a second mom, and I always loved being there. I have such warm memories of those days and I always thought of Dorothy as very pretty, soft spoken and welcoming. I remember her so much and I am going to miss her. She was my second grandma. I remember the days we would go over to her house and watch cartoons and go to the beach. There is never a goodbye, there always see you later. Love you so much and going to miss you. My heart goes out to my aunt and uncle and his family.
