Obituary

OREGON - Linda M. Henriksen, age 76, of Oregon, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on February 24, 1949, in Stoughton, the daughter of Richard and Agnes (Nelson) Grefsheim.

Linda graduated from Stoughton High in 1967 and attended MATC for one year. She was united in marriage to Jack Henriksen on March 7, 1970. She worked as an administrative assistant for Cuna Mutual for 36 years, retiring in 2004.

Linda and her husband owned the Oregon Bowl and she has now passed that responsibility on to her sons. The love of her sons and grandchildren was as vast as the ocean and sky together, and no stone was unturned in the pursuit of their wellbeing. Linda was an avid reader and loved knitting, crocheting and playing word games. She was especially proud of her homemade afghans, which she made for many friends and neighbors throughout the years.

Linda is survived by her sons, Cory (Savanna Nelson) Henriksen and Chad Henriksen; grandchildren, Daniel, Kailin, and Henri; great-granddaughter, Kaia; brother, Larry Grefsheim; and sister, Lianne (Rick) Burnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents, Richard and Agnes; and brother, Loren Grefsheim.

A celebration of life will be held at OREGON BOWL, 214 Spring St., Oregon, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Mom, those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near; still loved, still missed and forever dear. Time slips by and life goes on, but from our hearts you are never gone.
