MCFARLAND - Joanne Sharon Conrad, age 72, of McFarland, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at Agrace HospiceCare after a short, but courageous battle with Glioblastoma. She was born on Aug. 19, 1950, in Sayre, Pa., the daughter of John and Della (Felton) Brewer. Prior to retirement Joanne worked as a certified massage therapist.
Joanne lived in or near Evansville for many years prior to moving to McFarland. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and took pride in helping raise her youngest grandchildren, Adalynn and Aiden. Joanne was a very good cook who always made special food requests for the kids. She enjoyed crocheting gifts for others. Joanne loved Christmas time and found joy in collecting Santa Clauses. She also loved all her cats, especially Ditzy and Girly. Joanne had a spunky, big personality and an even bigger heart.
Joanne is survived by her sons, Marty (April) Conrad and Jacob (Sara) Conrad; grandchildren, Declan, Adalynn and Aiden Conrad. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Sander Conrad; and parents, John Brewer, Della Cramer and Vince Owen.
A celebration of life will be held at OLBRICH GARDENS, in the Atrium Room, 3330 Atwood Ave., Madison, from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
