STOUGHTON - Joyce Louise Clawson, of Stoughton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at her residence. She was the daughter of Jacob and Jewel (Newton) Starry.
Joyce graduated from Verona High School in 1966. She met her husband, Steve, in 1969. They were joined in marriage on June 29, 1987. Joyce worked for 35 years at Sub Zero until her retirement in 2013. She enjoyed gardening and her favorite flowers were roses and lilies. Christmas was her favorite holiday. Joyce was known for her ceramic ornaments of Santa which she would hang on large Christmas trees. Steve and Joyce lived in Stoughton since 1971.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Steve; her daughters, Rhonda (Tom) Dixon and Connie Clawson; grandchildren, Steven Schwartz, Tiffany and Ethan Dixon, Ron Cedar, Jewel (Adien) Dutter, and Logan and Landon Conway; and great-granddaughter, Aubree Layne Schwartz. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother-in-law, Clark Clawson.
A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Highway 51 N. at Jackson St., Stoughton, from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, 2022. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
